More... Pericles by William Shakespeare
8:00 PM-10:00 PM O'Kane Hall, Fenwick Theatre - 2nd Floor - $10 General Public / $7 Holy Cross Community
In this rarely performed Shakespearean romance, a good man undeservedly loses both his wife and his daughter to the vagaries of nature and the evil of men. Devastated and altered by grief, he faces a tragic end until his fortunes are miraculously reversed. Pericles is a fairy tale about suffering and redemption that features shipwrecks, pirates, incest, corruption, an evil queen, supernatural figures and resurrections. It requires the audience to surrender cynicism and judgment and embrace the transformative possibilities of the magical and the mystical. Edward Isser directs.

More... The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov
8:00 PM-10:00 PM O'Kane Hall, Fenwick Theatre - 2nd Floor - $10 General Public / $7 Holy Cross Community
In the early days of the twentieth century, a bankrupt aristocrat returns to her childhood home in the Russian countryside, where she is powerless to stop progress and recapture the gracious life she once lived there. All the great Chekhov themes ~ the decline of the nobility, the nature of loss, unrequited love, the inexorable march of time ~ converge in his final masterpiece. Steve Vineberg directs this poignant and sometimes hilarious tragicomedy, one of the great works of the modern theatre.
