The Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra is Worcester's premiere
resident orchestra and was founded in 1947. It regularly performs at its home, Tuckerman Hall, as well as at Worcester's Mechanics Hall and Hanover Theatre. During the summer, the Orchestra performs a highly popular series of free, outdoor concerts in Worcester's Institute and East Parks before tens of thousands of concert-goers. The Orchestra has accompanied world-class touring shows such as Mannheim Steamroller and such artists as Andrea Bocelli and the late Luciano Pavarotti at Worcester's DCU Center.

The Master Singers of Worcester, Inc. is dedicated to performing high quality choral music for the enjoyment and education of the performer and listener. Led by Artistic Director, Malcolm Halliday, concert pianist and conductor, it has distinguished itself by consistent, high quality presentation of lesser-known, but important sacred and secular choral masterworks and exploration of contemporary works by international and regional composers. In continuous operation as a self-supporting, non-profit, volunteer community chorus for men and women, from young adult to senior, we perform three to four concerts annually, in addition to several community outreach events. The chorus encompasses approximately 60 chorus members who typically work and reside in Worcester and its surrounding communities. MSW promotes music education through internships to talented area high school students and collaboration with local college, community music school and church-based youth choirs and orchestras. The organization was founded in 1976 by the late Alfred Nash Patterson, gifted choral conductor and promoter of the choral arts.

Salisbury Singers, Inc. is the managing organization of two performance groups: Salisbury Singers and Salisbury Lyric Opera. It was founded in 1973 by the late Malama Robbins Collinsworth to foster the highest standards of
the musical arts. Salisbury Singers, a mixed chorus of selected volunteers under the dynamic leadership of Music Director Michelle Graveline, is dedicated to the enhancement of cultural life in Worcester and Central
Massachusetts as well as to the musical growth of its individual members.
SLO's mission is to build audiences and local support for opera as an art
form by exposing both children and adults to the performance of opera in a
way that is accessible and easily enjoyed by all.

Designed in 1902 by Josephine Wright Chapman, one of America's first female architects, Tuckerman Hall is one of the most exquisitely designed assembly spaces in America and features superb acoustics. Its main hall is adorned with intricate plaster detail, and has a seating capacity of 521 for concerts; 275 for dinner receptions; and 200 for weddings. Tuckerman Hall regularly hosts concerts of its owner, the Massachusetts Symphony Orchestra, as well as a variety of classical chamber, jazz, and folk concerts throughout the year. Tuckerman Hall is an Official Project of Save America's Treasures and is listed in the National Register of Historic Places.
