Description:

AS220 is a non-profit community arts space in downtown Providence. Our mission is to provide an unjuried and uncensored forum for the arts. If you live in the state of Rhode Island, you will get an opportunity to exhibit or perform at AS220.
If you dont know about AS220, then you should, and soon. Check out their performance space/gallery/bar/restaurant, any night of the week you can get open mic, music, theater, dance, an art show, whatever. Also, community darkrooms for photography is available at their Empire Street building (where the performance space is) and a great community print shop for silkscreening and letterpress opened up at the Dreyfus building location (where restaurant Local 121 is).

AS220 is part Incubator and part Bazaar.
We also build new audiences and infrastructure for artists to stimulate the cultural mulch in Rhode Island.
