Well, the first commenter must have been there, upstairs, when we were there!! The Bootlegger has the BEST food around!! From the Georgia Peach Chicken to the Chicken Tomasio (the most moust pleasing dish!), to the Maple encrusted Salmon, to the Gold Digger for lunch...If you don't try their gormet dishes, you have no adventurous side!! And, you not a Gormet lover!! The Executive Chef, bill Nash is a personal friend of mine, and he is passionate about EVERY dish he cooks!! His heart and soul goes into every service! For the little $$ he gets paid, He does better than anyplace around. If you're ordering a burger, than you're going to not like it as much as the awesome dishes The Bootlegger has! The have really great drinks, too, like a Strawberry Basil Martini!! The Best! The noise factor must have made the reviewer not enjoy their meal...The Bootlegger is a million times better then Sean Patricks, who's place smells like old people...A trillion times better than the Il Forno, who every time I've been there, they've either had stale food, got my order wrong, or just had day old food!! The Bootlegger has frest ingredients, fresh, fresh, fresh...Everything...I know gormet food. More people need to go here. Just not on A Thursday or Sunday. The Exeuc.Chef doesn't work these days. And you can tell the difference.

Judging by the name of the first person to leave a review......You could not please this guy if you gave him the world. I on the other hand have dined at the Bootlegger many times. The food is out of this world and the service is the best that I have ever had. It is a great place to bring your family or a date or just to stop by for a cold one. It does get noisy once in awhile...but that is to be expected when there is standing room only most of the time. Some people may think that it is a little pricey....But I think that you get alot more than what you pay for here. If you want cheap food and poor service.......then there are many places around the area that you can go to.

The atmosphere has a nice old-fashioned feel to it, and the bar selection fits with that. It's rare to find a restaurant where you can order an apricot sour these days! But if you do want to pretend that you're enjoying a nice evening out circa 1940s, avoid the upstairs seating area. Parties up there can be quite loud, and there's nothing to separate the groups from the rest of the diners. The menu looks very tempting, but the food quality doesn't live up. It might be a nice place to bring your parents or grandparents perhaps, but it's definitely not the kind of place for a couple in their 20s or 30s to enjoy a date.
