| I've gone to The Compound since it first opened. I met my fiance there. Anna and Fran were awesome. We hung out there just about every night for the first few years that it was opened. 4:20, Killstepp, and other bands were all memorable! The Compound has really great deals where they had a bus take us to Locobazooka, the first year and that was so memorible!!! I will never forget that one!!! The last year or so, when they added the Hip-Hop music and down stairs, it started getting more shady. We stopped going. We don't even go to bars anymore.They cost to much, and we( my fiance and found eachother and we have a child) So, we just have out friends over our house, now. It's a lot cheaper. But...THe mem ories that we had a the Compound are the best!!! Fran used to make the BEST drinks!! I remember paying like $20 for a shot of the best Tequila, but that was ok...The drinks were the best!!! Thank you The Compound! | |||||

| This looks like a great place; in fact, when I walked in, I thought it looked like I had designed it myself--you know, the bar I often dream about running (like when I retire, and decide to start working for a living. I even have some of those old record albums I see on the wall, but my cover of "kiss Alive" looks different). But I digress. I was in here on a Karaoke night, unfortunately, it was almost dead-empty, but I had a fun time nonetheless--especially listening to one dude singing Bob Marley's "No Woman, No Cry." My heart stopped momentarily when I briefly glimpsed the proprietor, who I must say is even more striking in person than she appears on the bar's MySpace page. Oh well...I will certainly return here on my next trip. The service was friendly and capable, and whether it's crowded or not, I would recommend this spot to anyone. | |||||
