The International Center of Worcester promotes understanding and friendship among the residents of central Massachusetts and international visitors. Social and volunteer opportunities available for people with international interests.


The International Center of Worcester creates professional and cultural programs for international visitors sponsored by governmental and non-governmental agencies, private companies, and individuals. It also maintains the sister city relationship between Worcester and the town of Pushkin (Tsarskoe Celo or Tzar's Village), near St. Petersburg, Russia.

Founded in 1963, it is a independent nonprofit membership organization that promotes "Citizen Diplomacy" through personal contact between citizens of central Massachusetts and visitors from around the world. ICW membership of more than 150 people is motivated by their interest in international affairs.

ICW is part of a nationwide network of centers for international visitors (CIVs) that are members of the National Council for InternationalVisitors(NCIV)in Washington, D.C.

ICW is given office facilities at the American Language and Culture Institute by the College of Professional and Continuing Education, Clark University (COPACE).
