The Salem Cross Inn is a Colonial restaurant situated on 600 acres of rolling meadows and woodlands in Central Massachusetts. The original building was constructed by a grandson of Peregrine White, the first child born on the Mayflower in 1620. The entire facility is one of the finest examples of Colonial restoration in the United States, and is a National Historic Landmark. A family run restaurant since its opening in 1961, the Salem Cross Inn has established a reputation as one of the finest restaurants in New England. In addition to daily dining, the Inn itself hosts a number of special events re-enacting Colonial history and cooking. Some of these include a great fireplace feast, drover's roast and the summer herbal dinner series. The Salem Cross Inn is a wonderful place for weddings and banquets. Special seasonal events, including summer herbal dinner series and the fireplace feast, offered Nov. 21- April 18.
