Atmospehere- Perfect! The river is so awesome, especially in winter. Service-Okay. I've had some mean waitresses, and some really nice ones. Selection. The food can be good. The Buffets are so gross! Don't go to those. We learned our lesson after about the 4th time. They are WAY over priced, cold, gross. The corn fritters and biskets are soooo good and an Old Mill tradition. I've gone to this place since I was a kid. I love the store downstairs, so does my little girl. I love feeding the ducks

Very cool location, with brook running under the buildings and very visible. Cool, rustic, old...service varies somewhat, food varies somewhat too. All in all, a pretty good experience.

Thus far, I have only been here for Sunday brunch. A variety of breakfast, lunch, and (delicious!) dessert items were available. The highlight though was the quaint setting. We were fortunate enough to be seated next to a large window overlooking a small pond. Reservations aren't required (or necessary, at least the morning I was there), but consider making one anyone to request a window seat - the staff indicated that they cannot guarantee seating requests but will do their best to accommodate.

My husband and I are new to the central massachusetts area and we told to try out the Old Mill. I was pleasantly surprised with not only the food and beautiful surroundings but also by our waitor, John. I cannot remember when I have been made to feel more at ease by a member of a wait-staff at a restaurant. Wonderful!

The Old Mill Restaurant has beautiful scenery and the best roasted duck with apple stuffing I have ever had. It is so good my boyfriend and I drive about an hour to get to it. Our service has always been very good and we especially enjoy sitting at the bar with a view of the stream. We highly reccommend it to anyone! Get over it Jessica

Celebrated a 60th wedding anniversary and everyone was very, very satisfied. Service was perfect. Quiet spot and food was very good. No complaints at all. Krystal was our waitress and she was excellent.

Inconsistent at best. After 3 visits, the best I can say is very average on a good night. Brunch is overrated. Won't be going back.

I'd been to The Old Mill about a dozen times over the last 6 years, always for the lunch buffet on a weekday. Then I attended an 80th birthday party back in May, picked up a flyer on my way in and trusted its information. It states clearly "OPEN EVERY DAY (Except Christmas)". So, back I go in August to have a more private meal with my 80 year old stepmother. It was a Monday. The restaurant is, according to the wooden sign outside, closed on Mondays. How cheap can you be? They can't be bothered reprinting their fliers or having a new batch made up? It was only after we arrived at the restaurant door that I recalled having seen that wooden sign back in May, but I had forgotten and had, stupidly, relied on the brochure. Care to guess where I will NOT be going the next time I'm visiting the area?

Waitress did not ask us if we wanted dessert and/or coffee - we did. The "hostesses" were "Lost in Space" (clueless). We were very, very disappointed with the entire experience!
