We are staying at this motel. I almost cancelled our reservations after reading a previous, earlier review. It was so negative, however, that it seemed malicious, as if based on some private agenda. Otherwise, it might simply have been written years ago, prior to any recent changes. Anyway, we find the motel satisfactory in every respect: well maintained, well appointed, with lovely pool and courteous staff. We may stay here again when visiting Tower Hill.  4

This is the worst hotel in the Western Hemisphere. I have yet to fully comprehend the abysmal nature of my experience here. To start, the hotel room was absolutely filthy and the sheets, blankets and floor had cigarette burns the size of my fist. My husband and I surveyed the room for a half-hour laughing at the absurdity of it and taking pictures to show our friends back in Manhattan. We then borrowed their phone book and made a reservation at the Holiday Inn. When we returned the keys to the front desk and told them we would not be staying the man at the counter said it was the manager's discretion not to charge us for the half-hour. I called the manager the next day and said the room was unacceptable and I didn't expect my card to be charged. Then, this heathen threw a fit and yelled at me calling me a "scam artist." He screamed at me for what seemed like an eternity implying that I just used his dank, dirty room to do dirty things. And then he slammed the phone down. I called American Express and disputed the charge as the manager never had my signature and now this emotionally unstable man is in a dispute with my credit card company and I am not missing one stinking penny.   1
