| I came out to Gilrein's from Amherst, which is 50 miles away, back in July to see The Duke Robillard Band. Even though I was stuck in construction on Route 290 for almost an hour, it was well worth the frustration. First, I must say that I called Gilrein's at the beginning of that week, and they had a table right up front reserved for me. Even though Gilrein's is not on the best end of Main Street, it still had adequate parking on the side. Once inside, the room you come into has a bar and a large screen TV. The room where the live music is was absolutely elegant. The atmosphere was relaxed, the service was excellent, and the music was superb. Gilrein's is truly the Home of the Blues! | |||||
