If you're into tempanaki tables, I guess this is the place to go. I don't like eating with a bunch of strangers, myself. The buffet, especially the cook-as-you-wait section is good, though the results depend on who's cooking it. We've had some overcooked results at times. The sushi is good, nothing spectacular. The bento boxes are nice, though. Bit pricey, atmosphere all right.

The sushi is average. Sashimi is average. The good thing about this place is that you rarely have to wait for anything. I haven't ever been disappointed with an order, however I've never been overly impressed with something either. Prices are ok. If you are looking for a quick stop for sushi in Worcester, this is a good place to go. If you are looking for a real sushi experience with a chef who know's his stuff, check out Haiku on Park Ave.

Honestly I think people go there because in worcester is the only Japanese place to go... 1. cooking table its not impresing to me you can go in the buffet hours and expiriense the same thing across the table for less money. 2. you can go every day and ask for the same plate and will taste different how is that posible ?!!! 3. Expensive 4. bud service( slooow. not frindly or polite)

Went for the lunch buffet on Saturday. Good selection of meats for the cook to stir-fry. Service was slow. We waited 10 minutes before someone came over to greet us for water or whatever else. Very affordable for lunch only $10 per person.

If you're into Teppanaki cooking then this is the place for you. Chefs will entertain you while you sit around a large grill. They'll even flip hot, greasy food into their awaiting customers mouths for laughs on all - especially the chefs I'm sure. This is the best Japanese restaurant in Worcester. There's another one on Shrewsbury St., but I'm not into claustrophobic meals and having my wallet emptied and still coming out hungry. The unfortunate thing with Sakura Tokyo is that there is no competition, therefore each time you order a dish it might be different altogether than from that last time. I go to Sakura to take care of my cravings rather than driving to Framingham or Boston and it helps. I think Sakura has become lax in everything and some competition from more Japanese restaurants might give them the kick in the pants they need.

A bit expensive, especially if you want to sit at one of those cooking tables - but excellent Japanese food.

I loved this place. This is the typical Japanese Restaurant that you see in the movies. You can sit around the grill while the chef prepares your food in front of you! Their food is excellent and you know it is fresh because they make it while you watch! The place is expensive, but worth every penny!

It's a fun place to go with great food; what more can I say? It's a blast to watch the chefs. Plus FIRE FIRE FIRE!! For those of you 21 and over, try the kareoke bar. For those of you under 21, go and laugh at all of the people drunk with saki. My recommendations: Tokyo Delight, add an additional side of shrimp, skip the mustard sauce, double on the ginger sauce, and try the ginger ice cream with dessert. Definitely a treat, though a tad expensive for eating more than a couple of times per term... usually $20-$25 per person + drinks.

If you are a sushi fan, this is definitely the place to go! If not, the cooked meals are pricey but well worth the money!

the teppan yaki chefs are wonderful to watch. the food is great (& there's plenty of it). the brunch buffet is worth skipping school or work for. a bit on the pricey side.
