| Maxwell Silverman's Restaurant. Over 30 years in business and it just doesn't get any better in Worcester [or surrounding area] for Fine Food, Great Service from a Great staff, and Week-end Entertainment of Song & Dance. A great DJ playing our favorite songs from the 70's on up with dance floor and Disco Ball and lighting, which I might add there is never a cover charge for. The menu is loaded with everything from appetizers to veal and if you leave this restaurant hungry, it's your own fault. We recently went to celebrate a friends birthday and the Pork Special was incredible! It melted away from the bone and into the mouth, Highly recommend. The Bar area is a wonderful place to meet new people on the week ends and the bartenders are among the most competent and friendly as you'll ever meet. 30 Years in Worcester, they must be doing something right! Want to impress that special date? I'd go to Maxwell's for a great time and when they see the ambiance of this restored old factory with it's old machinery as part of the decor, it'll be an instant success I'm sure. Simply one of the Best restaurants you'll ever go to. | |||||

| This place is atrocious. I went there on one occasion as a college student several years ago and swore that I'd never return because the food was so terrible. I was recently dragged again by a friend and had one of the worst dining experiences ever. Some highlights included the server spilling food on me, a "medium well" steak that was served hardly cooked at all, an ice-cold entree served to one member of our party, a shortage of glasses, and an "abbreviated" menu (lacking any vegetarian options!) that we were presented with because they were "too busy" to offer a full menu. When the vegetarian in our party noted this latter problem and, after much rude haggling on the part of our waiter, was given permission to order from the full menu, the waiter told him of his meal selection "oh, that tastes horrible, I definitely wouldn't recommend it." When I later called the manager to discuss the experience (which I never do, but I was VERY angry), he assured me he'd look into it and call me back the next day but never did. | |||||

| I have dined here a number of times over the years and the quality of food and service has always been fantastic. The atmosphere is rustic and is true to the restaurants name with old tools and machinery placed all around. I have found it is a great place to go for an evening out since they have a DJ on Friday and Saturdays and a comfortable size dance floor. I have never experienced a bad meal or service here. I have been several times for dinner followed the next morning by the brunch upstairs at Maxine's. The brunch is equally as delectable with a wide and varied selection of food. All in all this is probably one of the better restaurants in the city. Aces. | |||||

| I have dined here 4 times, and each time has ranged anywhere from a disappointment to a disaster. I normally wouldn't bother to post a bad rating, except that the place is always packed, and I frankly don't understand why. Brunch was very average, I attended a wedding here several months ago that was overcrowded at 150 people (they claim their capacity is 250!) -- they ran out of chairs and the dinner tables were packed too close for comfort, waitstaff had to hand dishes over guests' heads, and the food tasted like cafeteria fare -- and twice for dinner (not my choice, my wife and I were hosted there both times). The last time, they ran out of wine glasses and served our wine in water glasses, and they ran out of appetizer plates. The food quality was poor, especially the stuffed shrimp. Also beware of the scallops -- they are the small ones that feel like bullets in your mouth. Frankly, I don't understand the popularity of this place. We won't be returning, and if we're invited there again, we will be honest and tell people this place is a waste of money. Plenty of money, too. Expensive garbage!!! | |||||

| This is a great restaurant if you are looking for a long, relaxing dinner. Do not go here if you are in a rush. The menu is very unique and full of variety, and the desserts are delicious! Great for family dinners or dates. Fun atmosphere and a great waitstaff! I go for every parents weekend, and I plan to stop in here whenever I'm in Worcester. 5*'s! | |||||

| We went here for our anniversary this year. Both our meals were very good. Our waitress was attentive, but didn't hover. The atmosphere was appealing to me because of the historical nature of the place and to my partner because he likes the equipment scattered about. We went on a Sat night so there was dancing as well. I would recommend this restaurant to my friends and family. | |||||

| I went a little while ago with my parents. There is no food here for a vegetarian. Except the salad. This is not a good place for a vegetarian. | |||||

| The atmosphere is nice; it's a very pretty restaurant. That's the best I can say about it. I liked the food but my husband hated it - and the appetiser gave him a bad stomach ache. The worst thing was that we'd been at the table 2 hours before our meal was served. We will NEVER go back. | |||||

| Very nice restaurant - perfect for a special date or for post-graduation lunch. Sunday brunch upstairs at Maxine's is top notch too. Reservations HIGHLY recommended - they often don't accept walk-ins. | |||||
