Allow us to acquaint you with our tastefully restored circa 1793 home. The white-pillared Colonial sits majestically upon a knoll, surrounded by mature Sugar Maples and Pines. The exterior of the fieldstone fireplace boasts English Ivy that strives to climb to the stars.

The interior floor plan offers an abundance of space for our guests, with a unique parlor at the top of the stairs that is separate from the main living quarters. The parlor offers a reading area with a selection of books, television with a selection of DVDs, wireless internet access for your laptop and a seated refreshment area. The parlor and shared bathroom separate the two guest bedrooms. The shared bathroom offers granite sink, shower, fresh linens and toiletries.

The large family dining room on the main floor is a perfect gathering place for enjoying the freshly prepared breakfast from our country kitchen. Our property also offers a covered veranda, stone patio and seated garden areas for your enjoyment and relaxation.

We chose the name Hickory Hill after the grand Shagbark Hickory Nut tree that graces the back yard. This is just one of the natural beauties on the property, making the grounds a safe haven for many species of birds that frequent the property from the nearby Connecticut Audubon Society Sanctuary.
