The musical OLIVER! is based on the Dickens novel, OLIVER TWIST about a mistreated orphan who escapes the hard life of a London workhouse and a mean old undertaker and then takes up with a gang of loveable pickpockets run by the infamous Mr. Fagin. Its a fine life for a while but Oliver gets arrested and then begins an odyssey to find out who his real mother was. OLIVER! engages audiences with its pathos and drama, while delighting everyone with its outstanding musical and dance numbers. Food, Glorious Food, I'd Do Anything, Where is Love?, Consider Yourself, As Long As He Needs Me, Who Will Buy and Reviewing the Situation are musical theatre classics. OLIVER is the ultimate feel good musical-especially these hard economic times. |
