Conceived by New York based artist and educator, Dr. Ellen Frank, and produced by a team of international students at the Illumination Atelier, in East Hampton, New York, which was founded by Frank. The Ellen Frank Illuminated Arts Foundation (EFIAF), a not-for-profit organization formed in 2005, was established to revitalize, create, and exhibit illuminated art, using historic and literary traditions to combine art and social justice, thereby promoting global peace and understanding.
