Description: Early Kodak snaps taken in Alaska in the early 1890s and snapshot-like images made by major 20th-century photographers make up this special loan exhibition; view how professional photographers and amateurs employed a common approach for taking pictures for the everyday world. Alfred Stieglitz, J.-H. Lartigue, Walker Evans, Helen Levitt, Mark Cohen, Lee Friedlander, and Garry Winogrand are among the major photographers represented in the Historical Overview.
