| Description: | Tai Chi is a sequence of fluid movements that derive from the martial arts. The ancient practice of Tai Chi develops balance, centeredness, alignment, flexibility, and inner physical, mental, and emotional strengths. Developing the body's ability to move smoothly and precisely, it is clinically proven to be one of the most effective ways to improve health and fitness. Classes include full body strengthening and stretching, posture and breathing techniques, Tai Chi's 24 forms and their applications. In addition, Qigong, which gathers "chi" energy into the body, will be taught to enhance the general health of participants. Tai Chi can be practiced indoors or outdoors, by people of all skill levels. Participants should wear loose comfortable clothing. | |
