Description: This event will highlight Elm Park's summer Art in the Park sculpture exhibit by giving people of all ages and abilities to make a Community Sculpture that will remind you of neighborhood laundry lines. Help Sue Champeny to design a colorful arrangement of totem poles and to hang "laundry lines" from these and from poles and trees in the park. Then hand-weave mini-tapestries, and tie-dye Japanese rice paper with Saori Worcester, and create "Make your Mark" printmaking on cards and cloth with staff of the Worcester Art Museum. Everything will be hung on the laundry lines and won't it look pretty! It will all go up in the morning and come down in the afternoon, so take lots of pictures! More details on our website. Rain Date: Aug 21.
