| Description: | Volunteer Orientation for adults and teens 15 years of age and older is held each Wednesday from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Volunteers receive information and training about shelving throughout the Library. Groups from schools such as Beta Club, National Honor Society and other community service organizations have students sign up as Volunteers for volunteer credit. Hours and days of volunteering are flexible. Applications are available at the Library or on the www.afpls.org web site under "Support AFPLS.... Volunteers." Court-required community service guidelines also are posted at that site under "Volunteers." Volunteer opportunities for special projects and with the Friends of the NESO Library also are available. Teens 15-19 years of age (as well as 13- and 14-year olds)may join the Friends group for $5 and receive membership benefits and volunteer with Friends-related projects.
