| Description: | The Worcester Hibernian Cultural Centre will host the fifth annual Shamrock and Holly Fair on Saturday, December 3, 2011, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at its hall on 19 Temple Street. As always, we try to offer unique items that will help you find that perfect holiday gift and complete your Christmas shopping. Again this year, you may choose between our luncheon offerings, or those at Fiddlers’ Green Pub. The Fair will include vendors showcasing handcrafted items, some Irish clothing and gifts, as well as baked goods. This year we are pleased to include two authors of children’s books who will be on hand to sign their books. Robert Holland is from Woodstock, CT. He is a publisher (Frost Hollow Publishers) and an author who has written many books for boys. Among the books he will offer for sale will be his latest book, The Last Bully. Anna Westbrook lives in New London, CT. Since the age of twelve, she has worked with children in many capacities in the United States, as well as the Dominican Republic, and Haiti. Anna will be at the fair to sign her new book, titled, You Can’t Read This Book. Parking is free. Proceeds from the fair benefit the charitable works of Division 36 of the Ladies and Men’s Ancient Order of Hibernians. Donations at the door will benefit the Be Like Brit Foundation. |
