| Description: | Level: Beginner-Intermediate Gather on a Friday night in a fun and supportive studio environment where you are exposed to a variety of clay-working techniques through an array of projects including functional pottery and sculptural forms. Those who are new to clay gain a strong foundation through learning traditional forming techniques such as pinch, coil and slab construction. Experienced students may propose independent projects in handbuilding suited to their interests. At the instructor's discretion, specialty class firings, including use of the soda and raku kilns, may be scheduled. All students who utilize class firings must participate in all support aspects of firing, including minimal kiln maintenance. Beginning and intermediate students welcome. Students are encouraged to take this class twice. Limited to 12 students.
