Description: You may have seen Cara Brindisi on season 22 of NBCs The Voice or around Worcester the last 10 years performing in your favorite restaurants and venues. As a Worcester County native, Cara has been bringing music to the community in a variety of ways; from working as a Board Certified Music Therapist to producing concerts for stages as big as Mechanics Hall. Through it all, it is Caras voice that has carried her through her career as a musician thus far. As a professional vocalist, Cara has been able to bring soft and serene sounds to the quietest of spaces while also knowing when to bring power and grit to her voice with the right audiences. She has opened for nationally touring acts all around New England and has also spent time in recording studios from NYC to Nashville as she completes her debut full-length album set for release later in 2023. Her original music and songwriting shares a side of her voice in a more metaphorical way, with topics that are more expressive and near to her heart.

Cara is excited to combine all of her experiences, professionally and personally, to design a program special for the Worcester Public Library on what it means to use our voice. As an attendee, you will have an opportunity to not only listen to some story-telling and vocal performances by Cara, but also engage in some group singing and songwriting of your own! You will learn a little about what the field of Music Therapy says about the science of using our voices and how important it is for our mind, body, and spirit. Even though Cara was a contestant on a singing competition show, her belief is that it is everyones human right to find experiences in music and use our voices without judgment. We hope you can join in this very special afternoon!
