| Description: | WOODS HOLE "TRAD STROLL" CONTRA DANCE, Sat. 05/13/2023 TIME: Dance 4:00-6:00pm. WHERE: Woods Hole Community Hall @ 68 Water St, Woods Hole, MA 02543. ROLE TERMS: "Ladies & Gents" or "Women and Men" Join the Woods Hole Folk Orchestra for the return of New England style contra and square dancing to our beloved home hall Community Hall. Experience in contra dancing not required; all ages welcome, children 10 and under please bring an adult or two!! CALLER: Chris Ricciotti. Hailing from Maine, Chris is an experienced caller for the past twenty-plus years in the greater New England region, brings his skills to this community dance. LIVE MUSIC: "Woods Hole Folk Orchestra" are John Alden, Ellie Armstrong, Rich Armstrong, Richard Gregory-Allen, Tom Hodgson, Jim Mavor Jr. and Victor Troll. ADMISSION: FREE! CLOTHING & FOOTWEAR: Clothing is casual, layers are best for this invigorating exercise. Please wear non-street shoes that move easily on the floor (rubber soled sneaker are discouraged). "THE STROLL": Woods Hole will resonate with lively Celtic, old-time, folk, roots, and early music on Saturday, May 13, with the return of the annual Woods Hole Traditional Music Stroll. The stroll takes place from 1 to 11 PM in the Woods Hole Community Hall, the Woods Hole Library, and various pubs, restaurants, and businesses in the village. The Woods Hole Trad Stroll is an ArtWeek Massachusetts event, one of 45 ArtWeek events on the Cape and more than 500 statewide. All events are free even the contra dance. PARKING: will be a challenge. You may find some on-street parking, but you have to watch signs and if you can, it may take some time. There is also parking lots for a fee available.
