| Description: | WORCESTER CONTRA DANCE, Sat. 03/11/2023 TIME: Dance 7:30-10:30 pm [Intro session 7:15 - 7:30 pm] WHERE: Wesley United Methodist Church - gymnasium @ 114 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01608 ALL ARE WELCOME! There are NO restrictions or requirements in order to attend! We often switch partners after every dance so there is no need to bring a partner and no experience is needed to have a fantastic time! ROLE TERMS: Traditional - "ladies & gents" or "women & men" but all are welcome to choose the role term they desire! PARKING: Parking is up the hill behind the church accessible via State Street and turn left in behind the Wesley United Methodist Church (see photo below). CALLER: Tod Whittemore, Tod has been calling contras and squares for more than 40 years. He is a favorite dance caller and the founder of the NEFFA Thursday Contra Dance. LIVE MUSIC: "JUMPSTART" with Paul Lizotte on fiddle, Victor Troll on piano and Gene Albert on bass guitar. ADMISSION: $8 to $10 for adults, $6 to $8 for students, and $20 per family. *Donations are greatly appreciated and encouraged! MASKS: are NOT required but you are welcome to wear one. CLOTHING & FOOTWEAR: Clothing is casual, layers are best for this invigorating exercise. Please wear non-street shoes that move easily on the floor (rubber soled sneakers are discouraged). FOOD: Some snacks offered at the break.
