Description: | PROGRAM POSTPONED. WATCH FOR RESCHEDULED DETAILS. During World War I the military services were not integrated as they are now. It was common for African-American units to be led by White officers.; one of those officers was Worcester native Chester Heywood. Heywood was assigned to the 371st Infantry Regiment, part of the all-Black 91st Division. Join us as we present the service of this distinguished military unit on the Western Front in the First World War. |
