| Description: | In conjunction with the Southbridge Veterans Council, Gateway Players Theatre will be hosting a tribute to various veterans buried in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Veterans from wars beginning with the Revolutionary War to the Vietnam War will be portrayed by local actors. Veterans to be portrayed are: Caleb Amidown, Benjamin Dandridge, Sr, George Henry Sayles, Earl Joseph Durfee, Watson Dillaber, Robert W. and Ruth M. Bullard, and James Dacoles. Following the program, attendees are invited to tour the cemetery and visit each of these veterans gravesites. The event will be held at the Oak Ridge Avenue entrance to Oak Ridge Cemetery, off of Everett Street in Southbridge. The program will also include information about the Southbridge Veterans Monument Initiative. We encourage you to bring a chair. The tribute is free of charge. Donations to the Veterans Monument Initiative will be accepted at this Tribute. For more information, please call 508-764-4531. |
