Description: | This event may be attended virtually or in person. Please RSVP and choose either a virtual or in-person ticket. At the turn of the twentieth century, the Beaver Brook neighborhood on Worcesters west side housed one of the citys most ethnically and racially diverse populations as well as some of Worcesters most prominent industries, including the massive Harrington & Richardson armaments company. Today vacant lots and big-box stores dominate much of what was once the heart of this vital, working-class neighborhood. The talk will be by historians Janette Greenwood and Frank Morrill. |
