Description: Michael Liu, a lifelong activist and scholar of the Boston Chinatown community, will present a talk on the history of Chinese Americans in Massachusetts and its relationship to anti-Asian attitudes that continue into the present. Dr. Liu is the author of Forever Struggle: Activism, Identity, and Survival in Boston's Chinatown, 18802018 and former senior research associate at the Institute for Asian American Studies at the University of Massachusetts Boston.
