Description: Drawing upon a close reading of Genesis 1, the Ecumenical Institute at Assumption College will present a lecture by Rabbi Ellen Bernstein titled, “Reading the Bible Ecologically Beginning at the Beginning." According to Rabbi Bernstein, many are surprised at the Bible’s ecological vision. This lecture will provide a new appreciation of the Bible’s profound understanding of the workings of nature and our human place in it.
