The Book of Kells is an ninth manuscript book containing of the four Gospels in Latin. Due to its elaborate ornamentation and preservation, the Book of Kells has become the most famous medieval manuscript. This presentation introduces the art and text of the Book of Kells and discusses the book's place in the tradition of religious illuminated manuscripts.
