This bereavement program is designed to assist people who are grieving to feel supported, to not lose hope, provide education, and guide them through their unique grief journey.
Benefits of the program include:

Emotional and physical support in a safe and non-judgmental environment.
Support and understanding from others who have experienced a similar loss.
Begin the healing process through sharing your own story and hearing the stories of others.

The opportunity to discover new traditions and ideas to keep loved ones present in your hearts and memories.
Increased understanding of how family members react to loss.
Permission to grieve and live a happy, productive life.
General topics of discussion include:
What to do with your loved ones possessions?
Meaningful rituals to keep the deceaseds spirit alive.
Dealing with depression.
Re-investing in life.
Coping with change.
Understanding emotions and the grief process.

Peggye Arcouette, MSW, LCSW, BC, is a licensed social worker and maintains a certificate in bereavement. Her professional focus is in Palliative Care and Bereavement within a hospice facility. She started a Grief Support Group for anyone who has experienced the loss of a loved one called Healing Your Spirit. The aim of this program is to help individuals gain a sense of control and empowerment, to help reduce their isolation, maintain their self esteem during these stressful life changes, and to assist in the development of trust in others.
