Description: Trees-with their twig color, bark texture, bud shape, and bold silhouettes-provide a beautiful backdrop in our winter woodlands. Learn to recognize local trees by these winter characteristics. Study twig samples indoors, then go outside to observe trees in their full glory of winter. Joe Choiniere's extensive outdoor knowledge and gentle teaching style make it easy to learn. This program will be held indoors and outdoors on easy-to-moderate trails. Storm dates are the following Sunday.

This fun and informative series is equally suitable for beginners as well as those who wish to deepen their knowledge of natural history. For more information and to register, call 508-753-6087.
