|Description:||In recognition of November being National Alzheimers Disease Awareness month BLKHLTH (blkhlth.com) is hosting Ask the Doctor Series: Alzheimer's.
The free event will consist of the following:
A facilitated discussion engaging the audience on understanding their knowledge of Alzheimer's and what the biggest needs are for black people; A presentation by a health educator from National Alzheimer Association; and A robust panel of experts including a neurologist, caregiver advocate, gerontologist and more to discuss the impact of Alzheimer's in the black community and insights to optimal care.
The goal is for participants to walk away with a deeper understanding of Alzheimer's, be empowered to use available resources and tools for black people, and know how to have more informed conversations with their providers.
