Description: Kick off the Decatur Book Festival with dynamic poetry from poets Theresa Davis, Teri Elam, and Dana Stringer.

Theresa Davis is the Host of Java Monkey Speaks Open Mic, Women of the World Slam Champion 2011, and author of several books of poetry.She is a member of The Word Diversity Collective/Art Amok and represented Atlanta as a member of the 2006 - 2010 Art Amok Slam Team. In 2009 Theresa was ranked 8th female poet in the world as a finalist in the Women of the World Poetry Slam.

teri elam, a Cave Canem Poetry Fellow, is a 2017 finalist for the Rita Dove Award in Poetry and honorable mention recipient of the Jeff Marks Memorial Poetry award. teri is a VONA Alum, and a Graduate Fellow of The Watering Hole. She is the Poetry Editor for the Stonecoast Review and a 2019 candidate for an MFA from University of Southern Maine.

Dana is a member of The Dramatists Guild of America and Atlanta-based Working Title Playwrights.She has a Masters of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Antioch University Los Angeles and a Bachelors of Arts from Morehead State University. Dana is currently an instructional facilitator and poetry instructor in the Inspiration to Publication Program at Antioch University Los Angeles.
