Description: The New England Dahlia Society's expert growers return to Tower Hill to sell tubers and answer all of your dahlia questions. Learn how to plant dahlias, watch them grow over the summer, and bring your blooms back to Tower Hill for the annual Dahlia Show, September 29-30.

Come interact with New England Dahlia Society members and explore our dahlia growing education area set up with various “tools of the trade”. We will show what a tuber clump looks like, demonstrate how to split them, how Dahlias grow, and how to stake and take care of their needs throughout the season. The goal of this education and Q&A is to help you produce lovely blooms to bring to exhibit at the Dahlia Show in September or enjoy in a vase in your home! NOTE: A Special session will be at 1PM for young growers to gather and learn about growing dahlias.

Looking for inspiration? Just sit and relax and enjoy our slideshow of dahlias. Take a break and just "oooohhh and ahhhh" at the array of shapes, sizes and colors. Marvel at how big these little tubers get over one growing season and the flowers they produce!

Of course you're going to need some tubers to grow some of those dahlias. Don't worry, we've got you covered! There will be a wide variety of tubers available for purchase at this event!

For the Young (and the young at heart…)...
- For those who need the color and vibrancy of a Dahlia NOW, we will have a coloring station with crayons and markers to create your own piece of artwork to post at home to enjoy until those first blooms start trickling in.

- Is coloring just too “two dimensional” for you? Then how about making your own paper dahlia? Chau and Gabriel will help us get those creative juices flowing to make our own dahlia. (2 sessions – 12PM and 2PM)
