Description: ALFA (Adult Learning in the Fitchburg Area) presents its third annual film day, part of the Shirley Pick Spring Series, on Monday, Jan. 8 at Hammond Hall. This year's theme is "Conflict and the Promise of Change," presented by faculty members Joe Moser and Eric Budd. Films will include "Desert Dancer," the true story of an Iranian dancer who risked his life for a dream, and "Pride," about London gay rights activists and striking Welsh miners who form an unlikely alliance.
