Description:
Dave Horn moved to Briarwood Terrace in December 2016 and immediately began to identify each species of bird and insect he found here. By the end of the first year he had seen or heard 85 different birds and 237 different insects. He will show us some of his favorites and tell us about them. You may be surprised to find how much variety there is in the birds and bugs around us. He will also share how to manage some of our more pesky critters. Dave studied biology and entomology (insect science) at Harvard and Cornell and recently retired from a 43-year career as professor of entomology at Ohio State University in Columbus.
