Description:
Join local historian Professor Gary Hylander for a fascinating historical series called American Sampler. The first session is called "When In the Course of Human Events: The Declaration of Independence." Professor Hylander is a local favorite who brings history alive through his lectures. He earned his Ph.D. at Boston College and currently, he is an independent scholar who specializes as a Presidential Historian. He is a visiting professor at Framingham State University, on the staff at Boston University School of Education, and a pedagogical specialist for the National Endowment for the Humanities. Dr. Hylander is a frequent lecturer at library forums, historical societies, senior living centers, civic and professional organizations as well as a public affairs commentator on local news and radio.
