Description: Parents, teachers, employers, and politicians agree: America must have great schools. But great schools alone, says Paul Reville, will not be enough to achieve genuine equity and shared prosperity. Preparing all our students to be successful as workers and citizens will take an education system that meets all children where they are in earliest childhood, and gives all children what they need, inside and outside of school, to emerge ready to be successful in college and career. Doing this will require a whole new social compact between society and our families and children. Dr. Paul Reville, Francis Keppel Professor of Practice of Educational Policy and Administration and Founding Director of the Education Redesign Lab at the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, will share his vision for a new, integrated system of education, supports, and opportunities in this year's Gurel Lecture.
