Description: The most magnificent literature of western civilization includes The Old Testament, originally derived from The Hebrew Bible. The Bible inspires with lyrical language, dramatic narratives, and unforgettable characters. In this reading and discussion course, we will focus on the Bibles universal wisdom rather than the theology of any one religion. Topics will include creation, original sin, slavery, Moses, Passover, fiery prophets, suffering, Job, Jonah, wisdom of the ages, and poetry.
