| Description: | The Junior League of Worcester is proud to present the eleventh annual Festival of Trees Holiday Traditions. On November 21st and 22nd, the Junior League and the Worcester Historical Museum will present this premier holiday kick-off event, offering holiday splendor, novelties and entertainment all in the warmth of the Worcester Historical Museum, 30 Elm Street in Worcester, MA. The public is invited to enjoy the festivities all under one roof: view and purchase holiday trees and wreaths decorated by area designers and florists; enjoy entertainment by local singers, musicians and theater groups; participate in organized activities for children; purchase unique gifts from The Heather Shop of Holden, Angel Feathers, Ayer Designs, Hartmans Herb Farm, Joanne Modica Jewelry, The Velvet Goose, and Magic Rice. Food and beverages will be provided by Eric's La Patisserie Cafe. Major sponsors for this event include the Worcester Telegram & Gazette, Charter Communications, WTAG and WSRS. Each year, this event attracts several thousand people from the surrounding communities. Proceeds from Festival of Trees are directed to the community through the Junior Leagues projects and activities, including Adopt-an-Angel, Day Care Readers, Project Fresh Start, and Scholarship. The Junior League of Worcester is an organization of women committed to promoting volunteerism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. |
