Description: | The Roswell Library will host a screening of the documentary film The Strange Demise of Jim Crow. This film reveals how the city of Houston, Texas was peacefully desegregated via behind-the-scenes negotiations and controversial news black-outs. Following the screening will be a discussion facilitated by Curtis Graves, one of the original Texas Southern University student protestors, and the first African American State Representative for the state of Texas. | |
