Description: | Robert P. George, the McCormick Professor of Jurisprudence and founder and director of the James Madison Program in American Ideals and Institutions at Princeton University, will give a lecture at Holy Cross on "Natural Law, God and Human Dignity." He is a former member of the President's Council on Bioethics, and previously served as a presidential appointee to the United States Commission on Civil Rights. He is author of "Making Men Moral: Civil Liberties and Public Morality," "In Defense of Natural Law," and "The Clash of Orthodoxies." The New York Times named him the "country's most influential conservative Christian thinker." | |
