| Description: | Viewings from "Ken Burns Jazz, Episode 6: Swing: The Velocity of Celebration" and the documentary film The "International Sweethearts of Rhythm." The film viewings will be followed by a discussion led by Georgia State University School of Music professor Dr. Gordon Vernick. Following the program a reception with music will be held for program attendees.. For a detailed listing of all of the events "America's Music" events please refer to the Winter/Spring Issue of Access. "America's Music: A Film History of Our Popular Music from Blues to Bluegrass to Broadway" is a project of the Tribeca Film Institute in collaboration with the American Library Association, Tribeca Flashpoint, and the Society for American Music. "America's Music" has been made possible by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities: Exploring the "Human Endeavor."
