Get a taste of the ancient art of glassblowing in this fun one night course. After safety and studio etiquette are discussed, students will watch a brief demonstration of this 2,000 year old art before diving in and making their very own beer stien from glass gathered out of a 2,100-degree furnace. Students will choose their own colors and will be guided through the steps from gathering, to blowing the bubble, to shaping a cylinder, and adding a handle. No experience necessary. Materials: All materials are included.

Avoid wearing man made fibers and bring a bottle of water with you to class. All glass classes take place at the Worcester Center for Crafts' New Street Glass Studio, 35B New Street, Worcester, MA 01605
