| Description: | All Saints Worcester and All Saints Ashmont continue their collaboration with a special Evensong at Ashmont. Evensong, (similar to Vespers in the Roman Catholic and the Lutheran Churches) is an offering in song adopted as an American tradition in many parishes and cathedrals of the Episcopal Church. Atmospheric and deeply personal, Evensong appeals to persons of many faiths as well as to the non-religious contemplative. The music is sung by a Choir, and the listeners may meditate on the praises, prayers and petitions which the Choir offers. The timeless and simple liturgy readily embraces musical expressions from many centuries. |
