| Description: | A few short months ago, the Museum launched a grassroots fundraising campaign to re-open the Salisbury Street doors. We asked our Members and the community to help us raise $60,000. We received 321 gifts from youranging in amount from $25-500. On June 20, 2012, WAM Director Matthias Waschek happily announced that with the support of the community, we far exceeded our fundraising goal. Thus far, you have helped us raise $94,113. As promised, the Salisbury Street doors are now open during ALL gallery hours. As a thank you to the community for your support, Matthias also announced that there will be FREE GENERAL ADMISSION for the months of July and August. Yes, you read correctlyFREE. We hope you join us. We look forward to your visit. The gallery is open Wednesday through Sunday for general admission, please visit our website for further details. |
