| Description: | WORCESTER, MA. MAY 11, 2012: Worcester Community Cable Access, Inc. (WCCA TV 13) is launching a community-wide request to receive nominations for the 2012 Father Michael Bafaro Humanitarian Award (anyone may submit a nomination). The award is in recognition of Father Michael Bafaro and his commitment to justice and equality for all. This award is presented to an individual or organization that has exhibited a long, steadfast, and established allegiance to ensuring that people in Worcester and Central Massachusetts are able to live their lives in a free and open society without discrimination, and they are able to experience the full benefits guaranteed by the Constitution of the United States of America. WCCA TV 13 is distributing nomination forms as well as making the form available online for anyone interested in sending a nomination to do so with ease. The form is available online at http://www.wccatv.com/NOMINATIONForm.pdf or through a link at the top of each page on the WCCA TV 13 (www.wccatv.com) website. In addition, there are six locations where a community member can pick-up a nomination form. These include: WCCA TV 13, 415 Main Street, Worcester, MA. 01608; Worcester Public Library, 3 Salem Square, Worcester, MA 01608; The Broadway Catering Restaurant, Inc. 100 Water St. Worcester, MA. 01604; Frank P. Fechner, MD, 428 Shrewsbury St., Worcester, MA. 01604; New Worcester Insurance, 687 Main St., Worcster, MA. 01610; Welch Opticians, 1405 Main Street #1, Worcester, MA 0160. Nomination forms may be mailed or delivered to the station, or an electronic version may be e-mailed to award@wccatv.com. The deadline for nominations is June 15, 2012. The Father Michael Bafaro Humanitarian Award will be given to the recipient on October 18, 2012 at an award event at Maironis Park in Shrewsbury.
