| Description: | Greater Worcester Opera cordially invites you to our upcoming production of Carmen (sung in English translation), a quintessential work sure to delight both opera aficionados and newcomers alike! Brimming with familiar melodies, this story of a hot-blooded gypsy and the men she chooses to love is a dynamic mixture of music and drama that will leave you spellbound. GWO is proud to announce two amazing castseach performance will be a unique treat! We are also happy to be performing in the air-conditioned Zecco Theatre at Anna Maria College, with an encore performance on 6/20 at the Eagle Hill Cultural Center in Hardwick. Directed by Graham Christian (stage) & Jeanne Drumm (music), the casts feature (June 8 & 10) Wendy Parker, Richard Monroe, Ron Williams, Leslie Leedberg, Jennifer Conant, Kathryn McKellar, Thaddeus Bell, Jonathan McCauley, Dan Swanson, and Barratt Park and (June 9 & 20) Mauri Tetreault, Jonathan Wright, Jeramie Hammond, Rebecca Ufema, Jaclyn Tirocchi, Elaine Crane, Ben Morse, Jonathan McCauley, James Dargan, and Chris Zini. Joining our cast is a wonderful ensemble of singers accompanied by chamber ensemble. New this yearmembers of GWO get preferred seating!
