Description: ArtsWorcesters Aurora Gallery (Worcester, MA) ArtsWorcesters Aurora Gallery (Worcester, MA) T-Minus: Worcester to the Moon, an exhibition of members artwork, opens April 13 and will run through June 1, 2012. Inspired by Worcesters role in the Space Race, it is the fifth in an on-going series of exhibits celebrating the areas industrial heritage. The exhibit is open and free to the public.

Several artists are working to create site-specific installations for the exhibit. We anticipate works inspired by metallurgy, optics, physics, and landscape, says Juliet Feibel, Executive Director. In addition to artworks in several mediums, historical artifacts from private local collections will be on view.

A panel discussion on regional industries and their role in the moon landing, hosted by the Worcester Historical Museum will take place at the Aurora Gallery Saturday, April 21, between 2-3 PM. An artist reception will follow from 3-5 PM.
